Okazaki Trout Pond
Man-made trout pond in Okazaki city
We opened our man-made trout pond for fly fishermen in 2000. Originally the pond was created as a location for the Sugisaka research team to test out trout fly fishing, providing a base to develop fly patterns, experiment with fresh ideas, observe the ecology of trout, and grow the venture that is now KEN-CUBE.
To ensure that we raise beautiful, powerful, natural trout, we operate our pond under very strict regulations; barbed hook fishing is prohibited, and we only allow catch and release.
